Some of my favorite memories of my childhood came from those campfires in Northern Saskatchewan. My grandfather would make hot chocolate for my four siblings and me, and coffee for him, just before building a massive bonfire. My oldest sister would read ghost stories and my Grandpa would sit sipping his coffee while laughing at our reactions. Those stories never failed to scare the beejeezeez out of me, yet I can’t stop smiling when I think about those times. When the virus got serious, all the bars and cafes where I was living closed down, and I was left feeling lost and disconnected.
